A controlled wash process is used to reduce grit before finishing. Method, mitts, and drying approach depend on paint type, contamination, and access. This is not an automatic tunnel wash and not a cheap hand-wash queue.

From wash to finish, still inspection-led
Decontamination
Bonded contamination — fallout, tar, or tree sap — may be addressed where it is safe for the paint. Aggressive decontamination is not assumed on thin, fresh, or previously repaired panels.
Paint preparation
Preparation is the unglamorous part of gloss: clean, decontaminated surfaces that can accept protection. Preparation does not equal correction.
Gloss enhancement
A cleaner, better-lubricated panel often looks glossier. Machine polishing is a separate enquiry and is not bundled by default.
Wheels
Faces, barrels where accessible, and tyre dressing can be included. Corroded, kerbed, or peeling wheels need honest limits; alloy refinishing is bodywork, not detailing.
Glass
Exterior glass is cleaned for clarity. Wiper marks, pitting, and failed demisters are not reversed by detailing.
Trims
Plastic and rubber trims can be cleaned and dressed. UV-faded trims may not return to an original colour.
Exhaust tips
Tips can be cleaned when access and temperature allow. Bluing, corrosion, and damaged coatings may remain.
Exterior finishing
Door shuts, fuel flaps, and other agreed edges are finished to the scoped visit. Hidden cavities are not implied.
Protection preparation
If wax, sealant, or coating is planned, exterior detailing is the foundation. Product choice is confirmed separately.
